Custom Cut - Kick Plates/Hand Plates
Aluminium is the perfect material to protect doors and other structural elements in any environment as they are light-weight, strong and corrosion resistant. Kick plates are frequently used to protect the lower portions of doors, walkways and even walls.
Not only will we cut material to your desired specifications but we also offer to round the corners and drill the screw-holes.
Available in both 5754 Chequer/Tread Plate and 1050 Aluminium Sheet.
Aluminium five bar Tread Plate is a type of aluminium plate with a raised pattern of five bars on its surface. It is commonly used in applications that require a combination of durability, slip resistance, and aesthetics, such as flooring, stairs, vehicle ramps, and decorative purposes. The five bar pattern provides enhanced grip and stability, making it suitable for areas where safety is a concern. Additionally, the 5754 grade offers corrosion resistance and lightweight properties, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It is also commonly referred to as Aluminium chequer / Chequer Plate.
Aluminium Sheet in grade 1050 is suitable for most general sheet metal work. It has moderate strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Alloy 1050 is also known for its high ductility and highly reflective finish. This works on applications where a decorative impact is desired.
NOTE - Aluminium is a durable and corrosion-resistant material; however, when exposed to moisture, air, or other environmental elements, it may naturally oxidise over time. Unless specifically treated or protected, this oxidation can result in a change in surface appearance. This is a normal characteristic of aluminium and does not necessarily affect its structural integrity.
